Write A Descriptive Essay

The goal of a descriptive essay is to accurately and thoroughly describe a person, place or thing. Every descriptive essay consists of a basic format. You must have an introduction, paragraph body and a closing paragraph.

A descriptive essay integrates all the five senses. The five senses are taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing. Depending on the object of the descriptive essay you may need to use all five. An example of an something which requires the use of all five senses would be water. You can taste it, feel it, see it, hear it and smell it. An object you wouldn't need to integrate all five senses to describe is a Brick. you obviously wouldn't taste a brick.

The descriptive essay should fit the format of the standard essay covered in step one. When you have written an appropriate thesis and three paragraphs describing the object of your descriptive essay you will need a closing paragraph to wrap up the essay.

Don't just repeat word for word the thesis or opening essay. Give a reworded and better thought out summary of your descriptive essay. Learn the structure and necessary parts of any descriptive essay.
