How Far Back Should A CV Go?

The information that you need to put in your cover letter and CV should always be a relevant experience to the job you are applying for. If you have a wealth of experience and transferable skills with different companies, you don’t need to put everything in your CV, especially if it is not related to the job title.
However, there are times where you want to put all your employment history, dating years back. For example, if you are applying for a nursing job at a new hospital or medical center, you want to put all your experience throughout your nursing career.
It would be a lot easier to create a CV with all the keywords you need. Fortunately, you can purchase templates for different careers, such as accounting templates, web design templates, nursing CV templates, and a lot more. A strong application gives you a higher chance of being successful in the job you want, and it is a good idea to work towards a well-written bulletproof CV.
Work Experience and Employment History
10 to 15 years of experience is probably the maximum if you want to go far back in your history. This information will not only show the business you are applying for your extensive career experience, but it will also show them stability -- especially if you are applying for a job that requires professional experience, technical skills and education.
If you are applying for a profession that requires an educational background relevant to the post, it is also a good idea to include all your accolades, degrees, and certificates. But, make sure that they are relevant to the job. If you have some certificates that are not quite related, you can always talk about that during the interview process.
